Who teaches?
The main instructor is Patrick W. Fegan, director of CWS. He
has taught wine appreciation classes since 1975 and has visited the
vineyards of five continents. He writes a regular wine column for the
Chicago Tribune. He is the only Chicagoan to have passed the world's most
rigorous wine-tasting exam, that administered by the Institute of Masters
of Wine (London). From time to time, Chicago Wine School hosts guest
lecturers from the various regions of the world: check our list of Single
Session Seminars for their schedule.
